EXTAG was part of Australia’s largest-ever delegation at the AUSA 2024 expo, showcasing cutting-edge asset management technology for defence.

As a member of Team Defence Australia, EXTAG Custom Asset Management presented its solutions to key stakeholders, reinforcing its role in the future of sustainment within the defence sector. The Australian pavilion, featuring EXTAG, highlighted world-class capabilities, with our presence elevating Australia’s sovereign defence capabilities on the global stage.

Throughout the event, we engaged in productive discussions with US defence primes on the Global Supply Program and accelerator agencies. Our innovative solutions garnered significant attention, with delegates impressed by the platform’s ability to solve persistent asset management challenges.

The finale to the expo, G’Day USA – Australia-US Defence Industry Dialogue 2024, featured Ambassador Kevin Rudd, who highlighted the opportunities for Australian industry under AUKUS Pillar 2 and underscored the significance of the 'US Defence Production Act' for Australian businesses. Rudd urged both governments to “have the guts to change reality” and actively support sovereign capability.

Chris Deeble (Deputy Secretary of Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, Department of Defence, Australia) and other senior leaders led panel discussions on leadership challenges, focusing on overcoming bureaucratic inertia to drive impactful change.

EXTAG’s Brian Cantor raised a key question:

"How can SMEs effectively navigate and secure contracts within this evolving framework?"
